Why Didn’t I Receive My Commission?

As a Blu Brain Ambassador, you earn commissions on sales made through your referral link. If you expected a commission but don’t see it in your dashboard, this guide will help troubleshoot the issue.


1. Common Reasons Why Your Commission Isn’t Showing

1.1. Referral Is Still Pending

Solution:

  • Commissions are marked as pending until the customer’s order is confirmed and past the refund period.
  • Pending commissions typically take 7-14 days to be approved.
  • Check your Referrals tab in the Ambassador Dashboard to see the current status.

1.2. Customer Didn’t Use Your Referral Link

❌ If a customer purchases without clicking your referral link first, the sale won’t be tracked to you.

Solution:

  • Always remind your referrals to click your unique link before making a purchase.
  • Ensure the link is correct by copying it from the Ambassador Dashboard → Referral Links section.
  • Use Landing Pages in the dashboard to send customers to specific pages with your referral ID included.

1.3. Customer Used a Different Device or Browser

? Cookies track referrals for 30 days, but if a customer:

  • Uses a different device (e.g., clicks on mobile but purchases on desktop).
  • Clears their cookies before purchasing.
  • Clicks someone else’s referral link before purchasing.

Then the sale won’t be credited to your account.

Solution:

  • Encourage customers to complete their purchase in the same browser/device where they clicked your referral link.
  • Suggest they bookmark your link and return to it when ready to buy.

1.4. Commission Not Approved Due to Refund or Chargeback

❗ If a customer requests a refund or issues a chargeback, the referral commission is automatically revoked.

Solution:

  • Check your Referrals tab to see if the commission was removed due to a refund.
  • Encourage referrals to be fully informed before purchasing, reducing refund rates.

2. What to Do If Your Commission Is Missing

Step 1: Check Your Dashboard

  • Log in to your Ambassador Dashboard → Go to Referrals.
  • Look for the transaction under "Pending," "Approved," or "Rejected."

Step 2: Confirm the Customer Used Your Link

  • Ask the customer to confirm they clicked your referral link before buying.
  • If unsure, you can check your Traffic Log in the dashboard to see if their click was recorded.

Step 3: Contact Support If Needed

If you’ve checked everything and still believe a commission is missing, contact us:

  • Customer’s order ID (if available).
  • The date & time they used your referral link.

✅ Use custom landing pages to improve tracking.
